Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Mike Rogers (R-AL), Lead Republican of the House Armed Services Committee, released a statement ahead of today’s virtual summit between President Joe Biden and Xi Jinping.
“While the Biden administration refuses to admit it – the greatest threat to our nation today is the Chinese Communist Party. The CCP seeks to destabilize the free world and the Biden administration is asleep at the wheel. Xi saw how Biden abandoned our allies in Afghanistan and he’s now betting that Biden won’t step up to defend Taiwan. Biden must not allow fake promises on climate change to distract from the real threat that China poses to the United States and the American people.”
