Washington, DC - U.S. Representative Mike Rogers (R-AL), Lead Republican of the House Armed Services Committee, released a statement on the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
“President Biden told the American people: ‘If there's American citizens left, we're gonna stay to get them all out.’ He didn’t keep his word. Hundreds of Americans are now stuck in Afghanistan at the mercy of the Taliban and ISIS-K.
“Has President Biden forgotten about Mark Frerichs? He’s a Navy veteran who has been held hostage by the Taliban for over a year. When does he get to leave Afghanistan? President Biden has failed to deliver any plan for Afghanistan and now Americans are at risk. So, I ask again, Mr. President, where is your plan?”
