Washington D.C. – U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA), Ranking Republican on the House Armed Services Committee, today applauded a new report by the General Accountability Office (GAO) recommending that the Air Force re-compete the KC-X aerial refueling tanker program. The GAO also recommended that the Air Force cancel its contract with Northrop Grumman-European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) if Boeing is ultimately selected to build the new tankers.
